AW3 Technology · Enterprise consulting 2026
We bring the team that builds companies from nothing to companies that already have customers, systems and a P&L. We modernise what you run, connect what doesn't talk, and get AI out of the pilot and into the work.
Presented by Will Schulz · San Francisco, CA
Where we help
A promising demo, a steering committee, and six months later nothing is in the hands of the people doing the work. We pick one workflow, measure it against today's baseline, and ship it.
The platform that runs the business was built a decade ago by people who have since left. We map it, wrap it in tests, and modernise it in pieces without stopping operations.
CRM, ERP, billing and a dozen spreadsheets, reconciled by hand every week. We connect them through APIs and a shared data layer so the numbers agree.
Leadership asks a simple question and an analyst disappears for days. We build the warehouse, the dashboards and the definitions so the answer is already on screen.
Licences for tools half the team ignores, and a roadmap set by a vendor. We assess what you have, decide what to keep, and build only where buying doesn't work.
The business sees an opportunity its core team has no time to build. The studio builds new ventures for a living, and can do it inside yours.

Services
The same bench that builds the studio's own products, pointed at the systems your business already depends on.
Strategy and hands-on guidance for putting AI to work: where models fit, build-or-buy calls, data readiness and a roadmap your team can ship.
End-to-end transformation services that modernize your operations, processes, and customer experiences.
Strategic technology consulting for enterprises seeking to optimize software investments.
Seamless integration of disparate systems, applications, and data sources.
Transform your data into actionable insights with custom dashboards and analytics.

Process
Large programmes fail at the start, when nobody can say what success looks like. Every engagement begins small and measured.
We review the systems, the data and the workflow with the people who use them, then write down where the cost and the risk actually sit, with a scoped plan and a price.
We build for one team and one job first, and measure it against how the work is done today. If it doesn't beat the baseline, you find out early and cheaply.
A dedicated delivery team connects the work to your stack, your identity provider and your data, with weekly demos and security review on everything that touches money or customer data.
We document what we built, train the team that will run it, and stay on as advisors for as long as it is useful. The goal is a system your people own, not a dependency on us.
Engagements
Each engagement is scoped and priced before work begins. Most start with an assessment, so the cost of the larger piece is known before anyone commits to it.
A fixed-scope review of one system, one data problem or one AI opportunity.
One workflow taken from idea to working software in the hands of a real team.
A dedicated studio team for modernisation, integration or a new product line.
Senior technical leadership on a retainer, for firms without a technology executive.

Track record
From 2013 to 2016, before AW3, founder Will Schulz worked at Cisco, Genentech and Gap as a software engineer, business intelligence consultant and data analyst. The studio still works the way good internal teams do: close to the people who use the system, and accountable for whether it gets used.

The questions we get asked
The people you meet are the people who do the work. AW3 is a studio of senior engineers and designers who build and run products every week, so engagements end in working software, not a slide deck and a staffing plan.
No. Our clients include an event photography agency founded in 1976, a packaging manufacturer, a family-owned winery, investment and private-capital firms, and a payments advisory firm, alongside startups.
Yes, and most engagements do. Integration is a large part of the work: we fit into your stack, your identity provider and your processes, and plan the handover to your team from the start.
We start with what data the use case needs and where it is allowed to go. Model and hosting choices follow from your requirements, and every AI feature ships with an evaluation set, limits and an audit trail.
Each engagement is scoped before work begins, and you get a written proposal with the price. Most start with an assessment, so you know the cost of the larger piece before you commit to it.
Book a 30-minute call. We will ask about the system or workflow you have in mind, who uses it and what it costs you today, and tell you plainly whether we are the right team for it.

Tell us what it is, who uses it and what it costs you today. We'll tell you plainly whether we're the right team for it.

Tell us the thesis. If it's right for the studio we'll put a team on it — and our own capital behind it.
