Zera: Website, Documentation, and Education for a Governance-First Blockchain
Client: ZERA, a blockchain where community votes execute automatically on-chain Our role: Web design, development, and marketing support Scope: Marketing website, style guide, documentation site, AI assistant, educational content
About ZERA
ZERA is a governance-first blockchain. On most networks a vote is a signal that someone still has to act on. On ZERA the outcome of a vote is carried out by the protocol itself, including treasury spending and upgrades.
The Challenge
That idea is powerful and unfamiliar. The network needed a public site that explains governance, treasury, and tokenomics to a general audience, a place where developers can find the SDKs and start building, and plain-language material the community could share. The existing web presence did not do those jobs.
What We Did
The engagement began with a website development proposal: a four-week first phase covering the choice of platform, a brand and style guide, and a multi-page site.
- Marketing website in Framer: home, governance, treasury, tokenomics, developers, and learn-more pages, a blog, and the legal and disclaimer pages a token project requires
- Brand and style guide: the visual rules the site and graphics follow, plus the site icon set, dark-mode logo, and social share images
- Explainer graphics: a series of visuals covering decentralization by design, the treasury, bridging, and "ZERA for Dummies"
- Marketing committee support: agendas and a marketing SWOT for the community's marketing group
- Documentation site: a help center with more than 70 articles across 21 categories, covering vision, governance, the DAO, treasury, tokenomics, institutions, and projects building on ZERA
- Developer reference: documentation for the Go, JavaScript, and Rust smart contract SDKs, plus an interactive API reference
- AI assistant: a chat assistant on the docs site that answers questions from the documentation, backed by a knowledge base we wrote and expanded
- Built for AI discovery: machine-readable routes so language models can ingest the docs, alongside search, sitemap, and SEO
Outcome
ZERA has a public site at zera.net and a documentation hub that serves both community members and developers, with an AI assistant available on every page and a library of explainer content for the community to share.
Stack
Framer for the marketing site; Astro, React, Tailwind CSS, and Claude for the documentation site, deployed on Vercel.
