Value Culture: Fundraising Decks and Event Branding for a Community Nonprofit

Client: Value Culture, a California 501(c)(3) producing artistic, educational, and charitable community events Our role: Design, branding, and fundraising partner Scope: Fundraising support and decks, event branding, marketing design

About Value Culture

Founded by Adam Swig, Value Culture creates large-scale community experiences that invite people to give back. Its programs include LoveFest SF, a free multi-stage block festival in San Francisco, and family events in the Tenderloin.

The Challenge

A nonprofit that runs free public events depends on sponsors and donors, and has to earn their support again every year. Value Culture needed materials that show funders what their money makes possible, and event branding strong enough to draw a crowd on a small budget.

What We Did

  • Fundraising decks: the "Programs for Prosperity" presentation, covering the Tenderloin's challenges, the planned programming, the organization and team, a quarterly calendar, case studies from past events, financials, and the call to action
  • Fundraising support: introductions and help approaching sponsors and donors
  • LoveFest SF branding: the festival logo and identity across two annual editions
  • Event marketing design: flyers in several formats, event listing banners, social posts, the schedule and site map, and large printed banners
  • Merchandise: T-shirt designs for the festival
  • Festival deck: the LoveFest SF overview with lineup, location, and a recap of the previous year

Outcome

LoveFest SF returned for a second annual edition with a full visual identity, and Value Culture has a fundraising deck that uses its own events as proof of what the organization delivers.
