Direct Credit: Building a Lending Marketplace
Client: Direct Credit, the business lending platform of Baird Augustine Our role: Architecture, design, and development Scope: Public site, borrower application, lender marketplace, admin tools
The Challenge
Baird Augustine wanted a way to deploy capital into private markets directly: a premium lending platform for high-growth businesses offering lines of credit, term loans, equipment financing, and real estate loans from $100K to $10M+. It needed to serve three audiences at once: borrowers applying, lenders reviewing, and staff overseeing every match.
What We Did
- Product and marketing pages: each loan product, a comparison page, a financing calculator, a blog, and documentation
- Borrower application: a guided application with saved drafts and resume links, co-signer invitations, document upload, and application tracking
- AI document extraction: uploaded financial documents are read automatically to pre-fill and validate applications
- Lender side: onboarding and approval, a lender dashboard, and match scoring that pairs applications with suitable lenders
- Admin dashboard: application review, lender approval, and oversight of matches
- Trust and compliance: email notifications, data retention rules, data-rights pages, and failed-login tracking
Outcome
Direct Credit is deployed at directcredit.net as a working lending engine with borrower, lender, and admin sides.
